1. Medical Branch (Specialist) – SPSSC
The PAF invites male citizens of Pakistan to apply for the Specialist Short Service Commission (SPSSC) in the Medical Branch. Selected candidates will be inducted as Squadron Leaders with training starting in October 2025. The age limit is between 25 to 45 years.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Nationality: Pakistani male citizens only.
- Rank: Squadron Leader
- Age Limit: 25 to 45 years as of 05 October 2025.
- Qualification: MBBS with a minimum 2nd Division or equivalent qualification, along with specialization in one of the following disciplines from a PMC-recognized university:
- Medical Specialist: FCPS / MRCP / FRCP / Diplomat American Board
- ENT Specialist: FCPS / FRCS / DLO / Diplomat American Board
- Eye Specialist: FCPS / FRCS / MRCS / Diplomat American Board
- Gynecologist: FCPS / MRCOG / Diplomat American Board
- Psychiatrist: FCPS / FRCP / Diplomat American Board
- Anesthetist: FCPS / FRCA / Diplomat American Board
Note: Candidates holding clinical FCPS in Cardiology and Anesthesia are not eligible to apply.
2. Medical Branch (GDMOs) – SPSSC
This commission is suitable for fresh MBBS graduates who are looking to kickstart a promising career in the armed forces. Successful candidates will be appointed as Flight Lieutenants. The age limit for GDMOs is 24 to 28 years as of 05 October 2025.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Gender: Male citizens of Pakistan
- Rank: Flight Lieutenant
- Age Limit: 24 to 28 years
- Qualification: MBBS with minimum 2nd division or equivalent from any recognized medical college, registered with PMC. Completion of a one-year house job is mandatory.
3. Medical Branch (GDDOs) – SPSSC
This category is specifically for qualified dental professionals. Selected individuals will also be inducted as Flight Lieutenants. The age limit is 25 to 35 years.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Gender: Male citizens of Pakistan
- Rank: Flight Lieutenant
- Age Limit: 25 to 35 years
- Qualification: BDS with 2nd division or equivalent qualification from a PMC-recognized institution, with a completed one-year house job.
Selection Procedure
The selection process is both rigorous and transparent, designed to pick the best candidates who not only possess the required qualifications but also meet the physical and psychological standards of the PAF.

- Initial Tests: These include academic, intelligence, and medical tests at PAF Information and Selection Centres.
- Physical Test:
- 1.6 km run in 09 minutes
- 10 push-ups in 02 minutes
- 10 sit-ups in 02 minutes
- 02 chin-ups in 02 minutes
- Preliminary Medical Examination
- Interview: Conducted by a specialized panel at the selection center.
- Final Medical Examination: Conducted at the Central Medical Board (CMB) in Lahore.
- Interview at AHQ: Final interview at Air Headquarters.
- Final Selection: Based on performance and merit.
Candidates must be in possession of a valid NADRA Smart Card at the time of registration.
